You confirm that you have read and comprehended these terms and conditions by making an order and/or payment. These terms and conditions, which constitute the complete agreement between You and Book Publishers Hub.com, are also accepted by You by placing an order and/or payment.

Term Definitions

The term "website" refers to all online material found on Lumera Publishing.com website pages.
The terms "Customer," "You," or "Yours" refer to you and/or any other individual placing an order with Lumera Publishing.com on your behalf. 
"Company," "We," or "Our" refer to and denote Lumera Publishing.com, a business organized and existing under the laws of of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

"Product" refers to any services and goods that are delivered to the customer in line with their order by Lumera Publishing.com.
"Order" refers to a request by a customer to buy goods or services from Lumera Publishing.com by phone or email. Down Payments through check, credit card, cash receipt, bank wire transfer, Western Union, or PayPal transfer are required to finalize orders.

Our Services

You are buying the Product for your exclusive use by completing the Order and/or payment. There are no explicit or implied guarantees and no refunds for any products. Before placing any Order and/or payment to this website, You are required to read these Terms and Conditions.

1. General Policy Statement

All services provided by Lumera Publishing are customized, intellectual, and labor-intensive in nature. As such, all sales are considered final once work has commenced, subject to the limited refund provisions outlined below. By purchasing any service, the Client acknowledges and agrees to this Refund Policy in its entirety.

2. Definitions

• “Client” refers to the author or individual/entity purchasing services.
• “Services” include, but are not limited to, editing, proofreading, formatting, cover design, ghostwriting, marketing, ISBN registration, and distribution.
• “Deliverables” refer to any drafts, files, designs, manuscripts, or reports produced.
• “Commencement of Work” occurs when any of the following takes place:
  • o Assignment of staff
  • o Initial research or planning
  • o Draft creation
  • o Design concepts or outlines shared

3. Cooling-Off Period

Clients may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase only if:

• No work has commenced, and
• No deliverables, drafts, consultations, or onboarding materials have been provided.

Once the 24-hour window has passed, or work has begun, this option is void.

4. Stage-Based Refund Structure

Refunds are evaluated based on project completion stage, not time elapsed.

a. Pre-Production Stage

(Planning, outlining, onboarding, project setup)

• • Refund Eligible: Up to 50%
• • Non-refundable: Administrative fees, consultations, onboarding costs

b. Production Stage

(Editing, writing, design, formatting in progress)

• • Refund Eligible: Up to 30%
• • Determined at company’s discretion based on completed work

c. Post-Production Stage

(Final files delivered, ISBN assigned, marketing launched)

• • No refunds under any circumstances

5. Digital & Intellectual Property Services

All digital services and intellectual outputs are non-returnable and non-refundable, including but not limited to:

• • Manuscripts (partial or complete)
• • Book covers or interior layouts
• • Marketing materials
• • ISBN registrations
• • Ghostwritten content

Once delivered, ownership or license transfers as defined in the contract, regardless of satisfaction.

6. Revision vs Refund Policy

Dissatisfaction with quality does not automatically qualify for a refund.

Instead, Clients are entitled to:

• • Revisions as specified in their service package
• • Corrections of factual or technical errors

Refunds will not be issued for:

• • Subjective dissatisfaction
• • Change of mind
• • Market performance expectations
• • Rejection by retailers or agents

7. Third-Party Costs

Any services involving third parties (e.g., Amazon, IngramSpark, printers, advertisers) are strictly non-refundable, including:

• • Advertising spend
• • Printing fees
• • Distribution or platform charges
• • ISBN purchases

These costs are incurred immediately and cannot be recovered by the Company.

8. Payment Plans & Deposits

• • All deposits are non-refundable
• • Missed payments may result in project suspension without refund
• • Cancellation under a payment plan does not relieve the Client of outstanding balances for work already completed

9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute:

• • Immediately voids any refund eligibility
• • Results in project termination
• • May lead to legal action and recovery of damages, fees, and administrative costs

The Company reserves the right to submit documentation to payment processors to contest disputes.

10. Force Majeure

No refunds will be issued for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• • Natural disasters
• • Government actions
• • Internet outages
• • Platform or vendor failures
• • Health emergencies affecting staff

11. Fraud & Policy Abuse

Refunds will be denied if the Company determines evidence of:

• • False claims
• • Misrepresentation
• • Abuse of revision requests
• • Unauthorized use of deliverables

The Company retains the right to terminate services without refund in such cases.

12. Refund Request Procedure

All refund requests must:

• 1. Be submitted in writing
• 2. Include order number and detailed reasoning
• 3. Be sent within 7 calendar days of the triggering event

Requests are reviewed within 15–25 business days. Approval is not guaranteed.

13. Refund Method & Timing

• • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method only
• • Processing time: 25–45 business days
• • Currency conversion and transaction fees are non-refundable

14. Policy Modifications

Lumera Publishing reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The version in effect at the time of purchase governs the transaction.

15. Final Acknowledgment

By purchasing services from Lumera Publishing, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy in full.
